SINGAPORE: The chief executive of Singapore's DBS Bank Richard Stanley has died. He was 48.
Mr Stanley was diagnosed with diagnosed with acute myelogenous leukemia, a cancer of the blood and bone marrow, in late January and had been responding well to treatment.
But, in a late night statement on Friday, DBS said Mr Stanley's condition took a sudden turn for the worse.
It said Mr Stanley's condition deteriorated rapidly in the last 24 hours.

A very sad moment for DBS, especially at such bad times. Will this news affect DBS shares on Monday?
Aside this, I guess its very bad to fall sick, when you are not rich. In Singapore, seeing the doctor is not cheap and a prolong illness will definitely drain your energy and financial status in the long run. Mentally, you will be affected in your job as well because you simply can't focus when you are sick right?
